A manual electric jigsaw includes a housing with a flat platform at the bottom and a handle at the top. Inside, there is an electric motor and a mechanism that converts the rotational movement of the motor shaft into the reciprocating motion of the guide. For fastening the paintings, a special shank with a clamping screw or a special spring clip is used. Shanks of files for manual jigsaws are standardized, mainly T-shaped ones are used. There are also stationary versions of the electric jigsaw, usually equipped with an asynchronous electric motor. In them, the platform is located on top, the handle is missing (the machine is stationary). The guide is located in the front of the case and is oriented vertically. In the lower part of the guide, the saw blade is fixed, which extends beyond the platform. The protruding part of the blade when the engine is running makes a reciprocating motion, and the blade saws the material.
