LBM contains a universal collector motor (UKD), a start switch, an angular gear transmission and a disk mounting assembly. Some models are equipped with a wheel speed regulator. As attachments, special abrasive discs (circles) and brushes are used, which are screwed onto the angle grinder spindle. Typically the spindle has an external M14 thread. The brushes have an internal thread and are directly attached to the spindle. Wheels have a through hole only and require a flange and a clamping nut for fastening. Brushes are designed to clean surfaces from dirt, such as rust and paint. The brush bristles are available in steel, brass or nylon. Brass brushes wear out softer and faster, but they do not spark or scratch steel surfaces. Nylon brushes can be used on wood surfaces.
